How To Use RINAR Nasal Spray

Caution: Contains almond oil (nut product). RINAR is contraindicated in people with a history of hypersensitivity to capsaicin. People who have asthma or breathing difficulties should seek advice from a healthcare professional before using RINAR.

Adults: 1–2 sprays in each nostril, 3 times a day, at about 30 minute intervals for 3 consecutive days

To help you use RINAR for the first time follow these simple steps.

1 Clear your nose before using RINAR. Prior to first use, spray the oily solution 5 times into a tissue to prime the pump. Be careful to avoid spraying your eyes.

2

Take a deep breath, hold the breath, then gently insert the nozzle into one nostril. Press the other nostril with one finger to close it off. Aim the tip of the nozzle backwards and upwards, and gently exhale while spraying.3

How To Use Rinar Nasal Spray

“Backwards” – pointing the nozzle to the back of the nose

“Upwards” – pointing the nozzle up into the nose

Use 1–2 sprays without breathing in.

To obtain the best results, ensure the nozzle is directed well into the nose. This will ensure you coat the upper lining of the nose where the sensitive nerves are.

3

Repeat Step 2 in the second nostril; remember to press the other nostril down to close off the air passage.

RINAR users may feel an initial worsening of symptoms, ranging from stinging/burning to excessive running. This should subside as the nose is desensitised.

4

For a few minutes after use, breathe out gently through your nose and breathe in through your mouth to ensure the spray stays in your nose as long as possible.

5

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. This is to prevent any of the capsaicin from getting onto your skin or in your eyes.

6 Wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the protective cap after use.
